Rainbow gathering, Golan Heights, 2010.
Husein was the only Palestinian on Israeli rainbow gathering which has taken place on Golan Heights in 2010. Full of joy, love and happieness he danced while the rest of us were playing beautiful, middle-eastern music. The sun was burning, but under the tarp it was cool and we could enjoy the life fully!

Every evening, right in front of my tent, I had this beautiful view of the setting sun and the Sea of Galilee down in the valley. Everyday the people stayed in silence and watched the beautiful performance of the sun and clouds, surrounded by the sounds of coyotes, which only in the darkness were brave enough to get out of caves and sing.

M’hamid el Ghizlane, Morocco, 2009.
Few hours after the heavy sandstorm in M’hamid el Ghizlane, oasis on the edge of the desert in south Morocco. The air was still full of sand dust. You could feel the sand in your hair, ears, nose. It was grinding in your teeth. But in the night the rain came and cleared the atmosphere.

They came early in the morning. More or less 50 people with dark skin, dressed very colorfully. They came to take a train to Vaser valley. They came with the bags which included everything they had. Everything they needed for life. Except for money.
They entered the train and went away towards Karpaty mountains to start a new life.

Lopchik invited me to his hut in the Sayan Mountains. His sons had to stay in the valley to take care of the animals.
We went up with the horses and spent few days in his hut drinking araga (alcohol made of milk), hiking in the mountains and eating fish from the nearby lake. Unfortunately it was too cold to swim in its crystal clear water.

Me and my girlfriend were the first foreigners he saw in his life, the first foreigners in the village. His father whom I met in the bus invited me to his home. On the beginning I didn’t want to come, but when he said that his grandma is a shaman, I changed my mind. And it was a good choice!
